What is the point of the Upgrade TROs? I took a really quick peak at 3055, and notice that it lists the Solaris 'Mechs, but I glanced at the stats for the Anvil-3M from 3055 and the stats are exactly the same. What am I missing?

They give more variants, and more history of how the 'Mech is doing currently with notable pilots and such.

As pointed out, they're completely optional, as everything you'd probably want is in the first TRO or Record Sheets. It's mostly just a bit more story.

The Upgrades version of the Anvil-3M comes in a variety of different colors, heated leather seats, traction control, Dolby surround sound, and a really cool rear spoiler.

Well, maybe it's time to have all the fluff entered for the original mechs. Any volunters? Smile

I'd be willing to twank away at the ones I have the TROs for...

3025 (Orig and Revised)
3050
3055
3058
3067

But I don't want to do more than two, and I'd prefer only one. I'll let you pick which ones based on what whoever else has to offer and what that leaves you needing. Though I guess if I had to pick one it'd be 58, with 55 secondary.

Of course you have those grouped together here since thats the way the RS book came.

As an addendum to that, perhaps you should implement the Vehicle TRO now, so that people can input the vehicles from each of the TROs as they do the mech's fluff as well. Not saying do a custom section yet, but get the stock ones in. We both know it'll be easy to do that part since it is just a set of DB records and an almost direct copy of the MECH viewing system. And if you wanted to go as far as getting the AeroSpace TRO up as well, I'd gladly nail the 3057 TRO inputting as well.

With HMPro it's only a matter of Ctrl+Copy / Ctrl+Paste, so I can do one of the older TROs...

Well, the Upgrades there are no changes in stats presented (with the exception of the omnis, which have additional configurations). There are a few additional sweets added in form of Phoenix machines, new fluff, pics and additional variants upgraded with new technologies. I think that the Upgrades are not meant to supplement the TROs, they replace them. I'm not sure how large are the stocks of the old books, but I doubt that there will be any reprints. On the other hand the upgrades are here and without FASA logo on them...
