I wonder when all the folks running those BT games (AcidQueen, bombtech, Horhiro) and all those participating will check in and let us know how things went. I'm interested in knowing. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

In my group (Davion) won. buy a good 60 points.
I had two mechs. A Stiletto and Enfeild. Both made through the battle. Heavy damage to the Enfeild with three kills to it. but the Stiletto(That was the key to our battle plan.)came through with lite damage.
Even with a Sphereoid mech. I rule

Victor's forces lost in both Sacramento and San Diego. I played for Vic's forces in Sac, and although we put up one heck of a fight the battle was in favor of the Lyrans from the start. In the first turn a misunderstanding of which way was "forward" for a mini resulted in our Comstar Thug exposing its rear to two enemies. It took 2 gyro hits and went down. In turn 5 our Templar pilot failed a consciousness roll, which resulted in it being destroyed in turn 6. Also in turn 6 our Sagittaire got head-capped by one of the Fafnir's HGRs, and two of the smaller Fed Com mechs got toasted.
I piloted the Enfield and the Bushwacker. While I didn't destroy any mechs, I did manage to destroy one of the Fafnir's HGR's, strip most of the CT internal structure from the Rakshasa (which was finished off by someone else), take a leg off of the Barghast, and thrash the Commando. I didn't lose either mech.
I did have a lot of fun and hope FanPro continues to have such events. But this one seemed a bit unbalanced in favor of the Lyrans.
Lessons learned:
(1)Be sure you know which way is "forward" on the mini you borrow.
(2)RAC2's suck, and so does the Templar.
(3)Don't keep your Sagittaire at long range just to keep the commander safe. He might just get head-capped and all that potential lost.
(4)The Barghast is one impressive mech.
(5)Do NOT underestimate HGR's.

That is too funny. Our's did to. We where fighting as partners. He did the damage. And I would mop up what was left. While the rest of the forces were takeing care of the light lance to the rear.
After the second kill. The Barghast capped his head. He had no damge at all. And the heavys where just creating the ridge. And it was just me and the Templer that where supposed to hold them. All in all. A excellent game by all.

Here in Milwaukee, we had a decisive Lyran victory. The Davions spent too much time hunting down some light mechs and let the Lyran heavy gauss rifles cut them down. It wasn't pretty when the Davions lost 4 mechs in two turns. General Giggins almost made it out, but a heavy gauss caught him in the head for 20 points and that was that.

I piloted Mechs on both sides and bagged a trio cumulatively. For Victor's forces I piloted a Bushwhacker and Argus.I bagged a razorback in the first three rounds. My first volley with the Argus I got a head shot with a full volley from an LRM 10 on the razorback.I bagged a commando with my bushwhackers lb-20x.On Katherine's Side I piloted a Falconer and bagged a hussar with a head shot from my gauss rifle. All inall a productive and fun day!!

1)That happens a lot when you're using some of the horribly designed minis--especially when the person that paints them doesn't color code the base.
2)Never seen anyone use an RAC2, but RAC5s are something to avoid standing in front of.
3)Too many unskilled players do that with command mechs. They forget there's a reason why commandersare generally in heavy and assault mechs.
4)Why yes, yes it is. Ask Pinhead or CampingCarl--both have used different varients of this mech very well. And Barghest-1T (piloted by Casey) won my last PBeM.
5)I polited a lot of mechs with the HGR on them at TotalCon last weekend. May others have learned that lesson too.

Great Game! Too bad you guys couldn't make it. I'll be posting pics soon.
The Lyrans put up a good fight. I (in the lightest lance) held off a heavy lance for the whole game with my Commando being the last on that side forced to retreat (and they all said he'd be the first to go HA!). The other side of the mt a 8 on 8 battle raged, and unfortunately our BFGs were not getting the Crits or headshots to turn the tide. Our Bravo Lance was laying the smackdown on their General and he quickly jumped over the mountain to save himself (smartly)
The Davs had a great commander and worked extremely well together. They keyed on the inexperience of our Alpha Lance Commander and eventually decimated his forces.
Timed movement went better than expected. But with no putouts until the 4th turn, the battle dragged on more than I thought it would.
In the end the Davions secured a Decisive victory, trading 5 destroyed mechs on each side, forcing withdrawals of the other 7 lyrans, and having 3 of their own mechs badly damaged and 5 lightly damaged left on the field.
Highlights:
35 Ton stilleto crippling 2 Lyrans in one turn.
Javeling DFAing Thug and getting mech shot out from under him.(didn't have much left when he took off!)
Tessen getting cored from behind by Barghest: Mint to scap in one turn.
Glenn P's exterminator freezing up MASC on 2nd consecutive turn use: Can you say Target...goodbye.
35 ton hussar criting Barghest's HGR resulting in destruction.
Stuffing ourselves with Chinese food.

It was Glenn's idea. I originally wasn't up for it then I thought " Can I sit here while 7 others eat Chinese food.....no....I'm in!"
