I am wondering why there isn't a 'Mixed' tech option for ProtoMechs in the designer. I understand that the Inner Sphere doesn't really do them, but the Word of Blake fielded a couple of examples. Besides, an MML-armed ProtoMech seem like it would be fun! _________________ So speaketh the ProtoMech Lady

That's a great question. I think at the time I added them it was a Clan-only thing. Technically the Inner Sphere never produced equipment for use on ProtoMechs, so I'm not really sure how a mixed design would work given there are no IS equivalent ProtoMech components. Theoretically I could make the standard IS equipment available to ProtoMechs. But there would be limitations as there would need to be a Clan equivalent. So in your case, MMLs wouldn't work because there is no clan MML to use as a basis. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Those are very good points. However, the unit builder has the option to allow extinct tech; despite such equipment being well, extinct in canon during that time. Is this perhaps something better mentioned in the feature requests, or should I just drop the topic entirely? _________________ So speaketh the ProtoMech Lady
