The "delete all the configurations" thing is a bit too much. Once you start branching off an omni chassis you can no longer update the privacy level or fluff, things that have no affect on the design.
What can be done? No idea. Initial thought is a checksum that the equipment hasnt been changed between previous save and current save attempt. No idea how to do that. And thus its a rant and not a complaint.

I hear and feel your pain! I manage to get around this because I have a sneaky way through admin modules to update BASE configurations which do not alter other configs. Of course, I need to be sure the updates are things that wouldn't make the others illegals.
Vagabond has already created an enhancement for this (https://www.mordel.net/ers.php?a=v&r=1483). That currently lists the following as things which should NOT delete alternate configurations:
- Source
- Designer
- Master Unit List ID
- Privacy
- Post to Bar & Grill
- Image
If there are other things that are "easy", I'm happy to include. Other things are harder, like moving equipment around within a location should be fine, but is hard to code for (though not impossible). _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
