								| So we need to decide what sort of company to we want to be. Do we want to be a light fast company. A mixed company. Or a heavy punch you in the face type. _________________

I like light and fast. Or at least medium and moderately fast. Never been a big fan of assaults because there's very little strategy needed when playing them. Sure, you blow a lot of things up, but where's the fun in that?

								| Honestly, 4/6/4 is the slowest I'll almost ever prefer going. And the puts me at upper heavies as my limit. _________________

								| Why not the old basic mixed company.. If we expect to fight away from supplies, then we should be energy weapon heavy, if not, then whatever floats your boat.
 I personally like jump companies

 Three lance..

Lance 1 - Recon - Lights and mediums nothing slower than 5-8-5 and everything jumps.

Lance 2 Fire lance - Classically they like to fill this lance with LRMs, but I hate LRMs so I usually go with long range weapons, classic rules 4-6-0 is norm, but I like 4-6-4 to keep mobility

Lance 3 Heavies - I personally like jump heavies like Victors, or Highlanders, Cats etc.., but this lance can be the big uglies.. battlemasters.. Marauders.. Stalkers.. etc..

That way anyone can pilot the general type they want, and the company as a whole can both engage quickly and get the hell out of dodge if they need to..

That's why you generally lose when you play them...

								| I dont know about lights. I like fast attack mediums. But it will depend on how we acquire and what we can get to start. Id like the command lance to be the big bad uglies. And i love highlanders 95 tons and can jump. _________________

								| I'm a fan of a mixed company as Pinhead suggested.
It also leads to a more varied game tactically, and gives the lights a little more to do than just die...

Also, it lets some people take heavier rides if they so choose.

								| Also really depends on the setting that Vagabond decides on. 3rd SW... with Clanners?
Honestly would love to take an Assassin out for a spin, but given that this will be a campaign setting, I'd definitely attempt to do "more than just die."

Yeah, this is gonna be totally different then my games. y games are just "run it into the ground" games, where salvage means nothing. Here, retreat is gonna be a perfectly acceptable option!

								| The assassin is not that bad as long as he has good support around him and he can keep moving. _________________

I'll be a light, but should we wait for more direction from the GM? Or are you just feeling out what people want to ride right now?
