A straight upgrade that keeps that "Griffin-feeling".
More punch and range than the original with no heat buildup and a PPC without min range.
The XL is needed to keep the mobility here without sacrificing firepower. Its not build for brutal close in fighting.
Only thing to complain about is that next to useless can-opener.

As a sniper mech this one is is very solid. Great speed combined with two long range weapons and Jump Jets yet enough heat sinks to fire it all and not build heat. Good use of an XL engine, since it keeps the speed up while letting the mech pack more ranged firepower to keep it out of brawls. One of the better upgrades.

I would drop one DHS for another ton of ammo, but otherwise there isn't much to do. This is a weapons platform that can do what the old GRF-1N could and it's firepower is on par with it's time era.

I'm not as big of a Griffin fan as some, however I do like this mech. I could easily see some field mods that drop the LRM rack down to a 15 shot, and add in some more in weapons, but that would of course also make it run just a tad warmer.

Still, a nice mech with a nice continuity with its predessor.

The firepower is good, but this has to stay out of the line of fire unless it wants somebody to blow that nice shiny XL engine off.
