    An Omnimech variant of the Bushwacker, the Nomad shares much of the same electronics and
    armor shaping. However, rather than utilize Ferro Fibrous armor, the Nomad instead utilizes
    Endo-Steel internal construction.
    A configuration credited to Leftenant Reginald Weathersby of the 1st Federated Suns Armored
    Cavalry, the 'Toad Shredder' is a rather extreme reaction to the threat of Elemental
    Weathersby had previous service in the 39th Avalon Hussars, during which his previous
    battlemech, a PXH-1D, was shredded by a point of Elementals. As the unit was reconstructing,
    he was transferred into the 1st FSAC, and trained on the Nomad. Figuring there was no kill
    like overkill, the 'Toad Killer' would more than live up to the name. Replacing the standard
    LB 10-X AC with an ER PPC on the right arm, the saved weight would be utilized in a way that
    reflected his paranoia. Jump jets would allow for rapid escapes from slower Elementals even
    over rough ground. Two SRM4's are mounted one in the left arm and the other in the left
    torso, often loaded with Inferno ammunition. An anti-missile system with a ton of ammo
    mounted just above the cockpit effectively negated the threat of Elemental SRM attacks. A
    Beagle Active Probe was mounted to sniff out ambushes, and Guardian ECM to help hide the
    mech and counteract any enemy ECM that could hide Elemental ambushes. Six machine guns with
    a ton of ammunition would absolutely shred through elemental attackers, clustered on the
    left arm. For back up in case that blistering amount of machine guns somehow went dry on
    ammunition, a small pulse laser is mounted in the center torso. All of the ammunition is
    placed in a CASE protected omnipod in the left torso. An extra heat sink helps manage the
    overall heat load.
