It has high mobility for its weight and therefore is dangerous for close-in fights. But on the other side it´s too lightly armored to survive such an action.
The weapons are a bit strange here:
You have something to fire at all ranges and in all directions, but nothing that really hurts.
Hunt lights and low-end mediums with that. |

Sure, it looks strange. Weaker armor, above average maneuverability (for a heavy) and armed with a weird mix of weapons. This machine would be a scout hunter or raider,but there are better candidates for this role. In a fight against other stock machines of similar weight (+- 5t, DO NOT try it against the Thunderbolt!) it may fare well, but it's hard to see anything special.
Maybe that getting into a formation of lighter tanks, firing and jumping out may do something, but ... I'm not a volunteer to try it. |

The guys who designed the original Champion must have had a hand in this: a heavy mech with the mobility of a slow medium- along with the firepower, armor, and endurance of a fast medium. This has weak armor and sub-par firepower with no real focus- including having a good chunk of its firepower facing backwards. It can fight poorly at range, poorly up close, or poorly to the rear. What a choice.
To top it all off, it has a goofy oversized head. For crying out loud, it looks like Charlie Brown- and it's only marginally more effective on the battlefield.

Never really liked this mech. Its average because of its nice speed.
But sometimes you have to wonder just why a mech that jumps this far needs rear mounted weapons.
The armour is average and can keep it lasting in most medium lances. But watch out for heavy mechs as they'll pound you into scrap. |

LRMs are a joke and the armour is also a joke.
Not a focused Mech. It has good close range firepower without the armour to survive getting in. The high speed might help though.. might.
Still thinking up a use for it....
