The same qualities and the same problems like the OSR-2C. I think that the LRMs are more useful, than the SRMs on this 'Mech, because they present you with the possibility to fire something at range and to alternate fire with the LLs at range. It may also allow you to deplete the ammo before you close and then to blast with lasers without having to worry about the heat. A good 'Mech, but still, there are better.

Love this mech. speed is above average, armor is decent. Wish it had a few more heatsinks, though. I alternate the large lasers with the LRM launcher to help manage the heat. You can get some ones attention with the LRM's, then close with the lasers. Lrms are also good for harassing. A very nice mech all around.

A "Light-Harrassing-Equipment" on this Ostroc will give it a bit longrange capability at the cost of a crit seeker.
As good (or bad) as the -2C.

The Ostroc does not really need LRMs, and I personally don't like them in launchers this small. It's OK to give you something with when you want to cycle out one of the Large Lasers at long range, but you only have to do that once every couple of turns. The Ostroc is fast enough to get to close range, and that's where it should want to be with it's laser array.

This is another of Liao's magic mechs that absolutely mean they'll rock you.
Few mechs can keep this Ostroc out of range, and even fewer can resist the fact it will keep fighting long after you die.
This mechs biggest issue is the fact that getting parts for it is an issue in a campaign.
If you can get it, keep it running and you'll be rewarded for your efforts.
