    The Black Pigeon, is an advanced and somewhat expensive urban tank modeled after the
    Chalchiuhtotolin. It came about after successfully modding the original design's chassis and
    suspension to allow the use of vehicular jump jets. It is intended to be a versatile defense
    platform that won't step on the toes of mech-jockeys or threaten would be House lords.

    The Pigeon's basic speed hides the surprise capability of a 120m jump capacity. Despite
    being matched or outclassed by most jump-capable mechs, to see a wheeled vehicle do that is
    shocking and the tank's main attraction.
    An all-energy complement is generally considered inefficient but was deemed appropriate for
    its mission profile. Twin VSP lasers were chosen to prioritize accuracy and minimize
    collateral damage. Same for the two small pulse lasers, present for the expected infantry
    encounters. All four lasers are turret-mounted to synergize with its mobility and allow for
    extended deployment.
    The dangers of urban combat encouraged the inclusion of both, an ECM suite to disrupt those
    it closes with and an active probe to flush out sneaky trapsetters.
    A full ten tons of heavy ferro-fibrous provides plenty of protection for the close range
    expected of the vehicle, enamoring the Pigeon to its crew.

    Despite being easily outclassed by most mechs, the pigeon has tested favorably in its
    intended role which has allowed the design to proliferate among cities that want a strong
    defensive presence without appearing aggressive or threatening.

    An infantry or cargo carrying variant was considered but despite the advanced suspension,
    issues with the condition of its complement kept arising, scrapping the idea.
