Overview:
Outback industries obtained a pair of Turhan assault vehicle chassis from an unknown source.
With the original design mothballed and stripped for parts, the mercenaries were forced to
rebuild the vehicles with available equipment.
Capabilities:
The vehicle has had a considerable overhaul from its original design, with the mercenaries
converting it into their mobile command vehicles.
The engine has been upgraded to a whopping 280 grade fusion engine, propelling the vehicle
up to 96 km/h, and keeping with the mercenaries preferred form of mobile warfare.
The original large lasers are gone, replaced with a pair of mediums, whilst the original
machine guns remain in place.
The former 5 ton infantry bay has been completely refitted. Now only maintaining 1 ton of
space for a security squad, the internal bay has been converted into a command station with
3 tons of communication equipment. This allows it to co-ordinate the entire battalion or tap
into local communications networks.
Deployment:
The two vehicles have raised a few eyebrows, but so far none have been foolish enough to
attempt to pry ownership of the vehicle away from the mercenary unit.
The unit has openly stated it discovered an old 2nd line league cache for an League infantry
division, containing an undisclosed amount of equipment whilst working for an undisclosed
employer. They noted that most of the equipment had been decommissioned and they had not
salvaged any higher tech equipment from the height of the star league.
Several designs fielded within the unit were widely used by the Star League and have all but
gone extinct in house armies.
Perhaps it is because the unit clearly uses downgraded technologies over the original star
league equipment that the great houses have not bothered to look further into the mercenary
origins.
