Overview:
    An affordable update of a venerable design, the HIT retains similar firepower with increased
    protection and versatility for half a million c-bills less.

Capabilities:
    The various missile launchers were consolidated into 2 multi missile launchers, easing
    logistics. A Gauss Rifle provides some long-ranged head capping power while 3 Light Machine
    guns allow the HIT to counter infantry at better ranges than standard garrisons and
    militias.
    
    The HIT's armament has comparable firepower to the original but has a shift to longer ranged
    combat in order to offset the Von Luckner's historically slow speed.
    
    Besides an additional ton and a half of armor, and the use of more advanced armor
    composities, a CASE protects the crew and cargo from the frightening potential of an
    ammunition explosion.
    
    The primary drop in costs is due to the removal of the Fusion engine in favor of a Fuel Cell
    which also provides the HIT its primary role and arguably biggest selling point; the ability
    to carry a squad of battle armor.

Deployment:
    The HIT is seen as a success among its developers, a Yakuza group associated with the DCMS
    Ghost regiments. Only the illegal nature and scrutiny of the ISF has prevented the HIT from
    reaching widescale deployment.

Variants:
    For those stationed in Urban settings, the Gauss Rifle is often switched out for an AC/20 of
    some sort and if available, an active probe.
