Overview:
    Designed as a rebuilt successor to the original Gauntlet, the Gauntlet II
    features a slightly rebuilt frame to accommodate a number of internal design changes.
    Primarily, the original 275 rated light Fusion Engine is replaced with a more powerful 330
    rated extra light engine, and rather than a bulky, heavy MASC system it instead makes use of
    a Supercharger for brief bursts of speed comparable to many light mechs. The cockpit
    assembly is also heavily rebuilt into an ultra-compact form that functions as a fully sealed
    escape pod, though some of the blow-away panels suffer from persistent failures under
    battlefield conditions, complicating ejection.
    
    All told, the Gauntlet II possesses significantly superior speed to its predecessor
    while actually increasing pod space by one ton.
    
    
    All variants of the Gauntlet II possess the Narrow/Low Profile, Easy to Pilot and
    Difficult Ejection Design Quirks.

Capabilities:
    The Epsilon variant takes advantage of mixed technology, mounting a powerful array of
    missiles and lasers. The left arm features a massive Defiance Industries Supernova-L Heavy
    Large Laser that can destroy an entire ton of Standard Armor in a single blow, housed in an
    enhanced cooling system to defray its enormous heat generation. A Clan grade Firmir
    UltraLase Extended Range Large Laser is mounted to the center torso, both lasers connected
    to a Targeting Computer for enhanced accuracy. The right arm carries a Defiance Masterbolt-A
    heavy missile launcher, while the right torso is fitted with a Coventry-6 Short Range
    Missile pack enhanced with Streak targeting. Both missile systems are supplied from a two
    ton ammunition bin in the right torso fitted with lightweight Clan-grade CASE II protection.
    Two additional heat sinks--one in the right arm and one in the left torso--help defray the
    high heat load of its advanced laser weapons.
    
    The Gauntlet II-Epsilon possesses, in addition to the standard Design Quirks above, the
    Improved Cooling Jacket (Heavy Large Laser) Design Quirk.
