    The DX is a unique technological marvel that offers no actual breakthroughs.
    The design was conceived as a durable, high-tech, and efficient chassis to utilize some of
    the most common items equipped by mechs over the centuries of continued warfare.
    The fact that the criteria was achieved on a once flawed and forgotten design, has given
    much credibility to the technicians who pioneered this easily manufactured and maintained

    The primary armament removed the twin large lasers that caused the majority of instability
    issues of the original and fused them into a Binary Laser Cannon. Deadly yet inefficient,
    the weapon allowed the firm to showcase a primitive weapon as new technology.
    The chest cavity holds universal hardpoints that can accept nearly any make of medium
    lasers, perhaps the most common weapon mounted on any mech. At the same time, a head-mounted
    machine gun serves a similar purpose and allows for anti-infantry capabilities.
    The weight imbalance was further corrected by the use of a Multi Missile Launcher. The
    ability to load up three tons of munitions of most types is a strong selling point for the
    role this mech was made for.
    Twelve double heat sinks are enough to vent the majority of heat issues while a common Vlar
    300 fusion engine adds durability to the endurance.
    Coupled with adequate armor and enough speed to act in a cavalry role allows the Bellerophon
    to fit into most commands without issues.

    Thanks to a price tag of well under 6 million c-bills, the DX is popular among militia
    units. Unfortunately, large successor state armies have little use for such a generalist
    when they field dozens of different mechs already.
    Despite its role or rather because of it, the Bellerophon only fills a niche market.
