Overview:
    Following the Capellan mentality of fielding whatever works, the ID8 Firebee took an old
    design and tried to bring it into line with 31st century capabilities. The Prototype ID8
    sacrificed two SRM launchers, a jump jet, and the ability to carry inferno rounds for more
    armor and upgraded systems.  Now sporting double heatsinks, an Apple Churchill Gold ECM
    Suite, a Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large Laser, and a full six tons of Hellespont Lite Ferro
    Fibrous, the ID8 proved a much sturdier scout and light skirmisher but at too expensive a
    price for the Confederation to be willing to field them in adequate numbers.

Capabilities:
    The FRB-ID8 was supposed to have sufficient mobility, armor, and firepower to maul other
    scouts and still escape in relatively good order.  The Guardian ECM Suite and double
    heatsinks make it significantly less vulnerable in sustained firefights while still keeping
    it effective in hit and fade operations.

Deployment:
    Due to limited resources and the FRB Confederate 5 Chassis's already notoriously weak legs,
    priority was given to perfecting and producing the in house produced RVN-3L scout mech.

Variants:
    A second prototype removed the arm mounted Flamer for Apple Churchill 442 Target Acquisition
    Gear.
