This one can use its shortrange weapons without overheating but the SRM´s still have too little ammo.
The loss of the MG´s don´t hurt much but the loss of longrange firepower does; even with 50% more shots per launcher. |

The reduction of the LRM size was NOT a good idea. The only positive thing the 'Mech gained is the armor, because the additional heat sinks just vent the heat that the weapons are hardly able to produce without insane pilot in the cockpit. Of course, it can run and fire its lasers and SRMs without overheat, but if there were two less heat sinks it would produce 14 heat at best with all short range weapons firing every round while running. You don't do this everyday.
Perhaps it has something to do with mobility and dueling that Kurita doctrine in SW demanded, because the 'Mech can close to LRM short range and use it's lasers in conjunction with them (the LRM heat is the same as SRM heat) while dancing around the enemy to stay at good range and after expending all the LRMs it closes to SRM range to finish off the enemy... well, maybe...
I would prefer the other CRDs, but this one is not that bad. And this is probably a brawler rather than fire support machine, so trying to use it as a replacement for an Archer may not be that good idea, but as a part of fire support lance it may work nicely, because it may cooperate with its lance mates and it can also act as a bodyguard. |

A below average refit of the venerable Crusader. Keep the original variant rather than take this one.

Not the best Crusader, but certainly a second line or support mech. Slightly cheaper than the other variants it still packs a punch. |
