The Bloodhound was meant as an anti-guerrilla mech against an anticipated incursion of Liao forces into the FWL.
It is fast and well armored while carrying some serious firepower. The ER lasers and an ammo conserving streak make it independent from supply lines for quite a time while the active probe will detect hidden enemies. It seems to be plenty over-sinked but it can move through burning woods without having to decrease its volume of weapons fire.
(And guerrilla forces like infernos!) |

Recon in force ?
No problem.
Light Mech hunter ?
Easily done
Ferret out shutdown mechs ?
As good as done.
This thing is a running havoc. The XL engine and no long range weapons can be a worry, but the speed and the armor around this thing more than compensates.

This is NOT a scout.
This is a raider and is a good raider to boot with its high speed and firepower.
Its armour is also solid enough to let it function for a long time as long as it doesn't mess around with too many guard units. |

This one is strictly for hit and run work. The weapons are good for it's size and speed, but the XL engine makes this a lot more vulnerable than it appears at first glance.
The lack of jump jets could also leave this high and dry in some situataions. |

Pretty fair. The speed is amazing, for the weight. The weapons load is nice for a hit-and-run tactic. With the active probe, this mech can sniff out hidden units, then either attack or run, depending on what it finds. The medium lasers and streaks give this think a mean in close bite. The armor will let the mech take some fire, but dont go strolling through a firefight. |
