Here the Sha Yu turned to a short range combat mech. Engage stealth, advance under the cover of some LRM-plinking and if arrived at short range disengage the stealth to be able to fire your lasers and to make use of your C3-slave to relate targeting data back.
The two ton ammo bin allows for using special ammo but i think 48 shots are way too much while the LRM-5 has too little effect.

The excessive LRM ammo might scratch some heads but the fluff did suggest that the extra LRM ammo is for laying thunder or vibra bomb mines. Sure that an LRM-5 can't scatter alot of mines but can be useful for area denial still.
The armor is alot heavier and the mech has a blistering array of pulse lasers. The Stealth will see you through as you approach the target and the ECM protected slave unit will stop most jamming attempts to foil the c3 link cold. |

I much prefer the 2B. It was better at range, and had no ammo. Still, this isn't too bad. Very good close range firepower here, and the speed to get it there. The stealth armor will help you get into range, and the armor is also much heavier than the 2B's. The LRM is inferior to the lasers, but it's much more compatible with the stealth armor for long range work. There's much too much ammo for the LRM; one ton is perfectly sufficient. I'd lose it to get that TAG back. I don't feel that the C3 is a good trade for the TAG, especially since C3 will be less common among Capellan units. Still, the same speed that worked well with the TAG will work well with the C3. Get close, hit them with your lasers, then stay out of the line of fire while your lance brings them down.
This would merit a four if it had something else in place of that second ton of LRM ammo. |

Pretty fair. Built with a weapons arry geared towards close in attacks, and the speed to get it there fast. The LRMs are more of a self defense weapon than any kind of attacking weapon. Hence the C3 link, for fire support. Dont linker in exposed areas for too long, though. The armor in this mech can handle one direct hit, maybe two if the weapon is small enough, then theres gonig to be some big holes in this thing. |
