Overview:
    The Gestalt had started it. The Ryoken III demonstrated it would endure. Now the Republic,
    on its last legs, has in turn embraced the Interface cockpit, and in a larger chassis than
    ever before.

Capabilities:
    The Interface Atlas mounts an endo-steel chassis (taken from the Akuma design) and standard
    armor. Combined with the interface cockpit, this frees up enough space to replace the
    autocannon with a Imperator gauss rifle, taken from Altas K2s, which is fed with three tons
    of ammo. The LRM is downrated to a 15 tube model, freeing enough space for another ton of
    LRM ammo and an extra heat sink, which helps to cool the medium lasers which have been
    upgraded to X-pulse versions. Both large lasers are moved to the space freed up by removing
    the gyro, ensuring the mech can fight even without arms or side torsos. The CASE systems
    have been upgraded to CASE II.

Deployment:
    Although Inner Sphere in technology and design, Atlas Interface units are organized more
    along solahma and protomech-pilot lines. Although the addition of Clan biotech and other
    significant upgrades derived from both SLDF neurohelmets and modern IS innovations, the
    design has not been available long enough for the intended two decades before symptoms
    manifest to have passed. For now, it is assigned only to volunteers.
