This Ostscout packs all the fancy electronics that its -7J predecessor was famous for (Fluff-wise).
XL and ES give enough tonnage to make it a premier multi role electronic support platform. It has the same superior maneuverability while carrying reasonable defense weapons and armor (Hey! 6 tons aren't as bad for a light mech!).
There are only two things that bother me: The hefty price tag (but that's nothing you can get around) and that single heat sinks. Why not DHS's? It carries all heat sinks at its engine anyway and the price wouldn't go up much higher. |

This is good, much better than the "my TAG will stop them" 3050 Ostscout. Same speeed we all know and love, with some good weapons, and very good electronics. The XL displeases me on so light a machine, but there's no work around for it. If you're like me and hate C3i, then lose the C3i for max armor and a third ER med. And go for double heat sinks so you can use it. |

If you need a mech to annoy the hell outta assaults and at the same time do damage, this is the guy. A great Guerrilla mech, i use them all the time when can get my hands on them in campaigns. |

Good speed, jump capable, and with a fair weapons load. Lots of EW gear, but with not alot of armor. This mech has gone from almost worthless to almost worthwhile. If I had to send a C3i scout into a city, Id be inclined to use this one, though I wouldnt expect it to live long.
Pulling the small laser and strapping another half ton of armor on this thing would work wonders, even if it is a lousy 8 points of armor. Still, 8 points more is better than nothing. |
