The -A3 was a formidable mech but this variant is somewhat odd. To drop the large pulse lasers for two LRM-10 on a mech that's build to close fast and smash the enemy is a bad idea. Even if you like to get additional long range firepower to cover your advance it has too much ammo for that. Better half the ammo to get artemis (or even better take the -A3). |

All that speed does this brawler no good if its weapon loadout is only like a 60 tonner. The XL and masc is also a major risk and cost a bomb too.
Slowing it down and dropping back to a standard engine plus JJ will make it a far more efficient city brawler with a hatchet. |

Mixed ideas here, on the one hand its speed allows it to close fast and smash enemy mechs to pieces with its hatchet and ppc’s. It has ok armour and the long range punch is useful for scouring off armour.
On the other hand, its advantages do not warrant its weight. It’s a great ambusher or to use as a long range rusher, firing off its PPC’s and missiles as it closes. But there are some better Assaults out there, still it makes a nasty surprise for any ambushed mech!

This is a hundred-ton 'mech? The weapon load-out is worthy of a fifty or sixty ton machine. What a piece of overpriced junk! |

A straight forward mech. Run up on your target, blazing away with the weapons, then whack the thing with the hatchet until it stops moving.
For some reason, I expect to see a shload of these in the Lyran TO&E, it fits their battle style to a 'T'.
