A strong assault mech for almost any situation: firepower at all ranges, heavy armor, jump jets. Heat isn't much of a problem as long as it fights at long to medium ranges. At short range it will run hot fast if you fire that ER-PPC too. A major problem is the fact that almost all weapons are concentrated in its arms. The loss of the left arm will destroy all energy weapons at once. A more even distribution would have been better here. The only other problem I have with that is: It's so ugly! |

Its decent.
The weapons load seems to be missing something, but I cant put my finger on what, exactly.
The PPC and LRMs are good for some long range shootouts, but the LRMs are going to run dry fairly quick if you waste the shots. The mid and close range weapons are fairly impressive. The medium lasers backing up the LBX 20 is just plain brutal, I dont care what class mech you are in.
The armor is good for its weight, able to take a fair amount of punishment before giving out.
The mobility is surprisingly good for its weight, letting the mech maintain a good speed curve in almost any terrain. Jumpjets will help out in built up or close terrain like forests, or in 'slow' terrain like water and swamps.
Pretty good for a Liao mech, but as I said, the weapons load seems to be missing something. As its stands, this is little more than a heavier Thunder-class battlemech. |

Once again the speed and jump is good but the weapon loadout is alittle weak.
Can't they squeeze everything on a heavy or lighter assault ? |

Impressive. I like the LB20-X, and the ER PPC is a good partner for it. The LRM 10 means that this has multiple good long-ranged weapons, The mediums and pulse will provide some good close in firepower, but not perfect. The LRM lacks Artemis, and there's too much in that left arm; the lasers should be in the LT. Start at range and then move in and hit them with the AC. The jump jets will help a lot, especially in a city, and the speed lets it outrun the heavier assaults, although not by much. An anywhere/anything type of 'Mech, this will perform well in most any situation. |

Ouch! A definate king of the battlefield given half a chance, there isn't an optimum range to engage this beast and the speed and jump jets are good. Armour is exellent. Heat can be a problem so regulate fire between pulses and PPC. The only flaw is the XL engine, but without it the weapon payload woud be much less effective. |
