Good armor, standard engine and CASE make this Mech hard to take down. It is not as fast as some other machines of its weight but the jump jets add considerable maneuverability. The weaponloadout is, at first glance, well chosen: At short and medium ranges it can dish out some hard blows (don't underestimate that massive MRM!). The light gauss can reach out very far though it hasn't that high damage potential any more. Heat isn't much of a problem here as it can alphastrike while at a full jump without negative effects. The only (but serious) disadvantage is its full ammo dependence combined with small ammo bins! While making use of its full damage potential the UAC will be empty soon and that MRM will dry up shortly thereafter. The light gauss has some shots more but with that range it will be able to shoot at something every round. If you expect a short and bloody fight this will be something for you but in a somewhat prolonged battle you will end up without something to shoot with soon. |

This has got to be a first: an all-ammunition weapon mech with double heatsinks that overheats easily. It also has an ammuntion load that's better suited for a Clan trial than an IS C3 lance. Despite that, it's quite tough and can do quite a bit of damage with some good C3 work. It would be better if it included a trailer hitch, so it could haul it's reloads along behind it. |

Yuck this thing will run out of ammo before it dies if the pliot keeps enagaging at long range.
Now that is a bad thing since waiting for someone to administer the coup de grace is definitely the worst feeling ever. Sure you can try to melee but at 3/5, you are not going to catch anything.
Shame that this is actually a new Star League design from Eridani Light Horse no less. C'mon Eridani, you can do better than this. Also if you want to make a mech that is easily used by all sides, you don't use components unique from each side as this will be a logistical nightmare.
If the old Starleague mech designers ever saw this, they will be rolling in their graves. Utterly terrible.

A UAC 5, MRM 20, and Light Guass with some back up weapons would have been a much better setup.
As it stands I'd say my 3050 Panther 9K could take it in a stand up fight, because you'd never have a good number to hit and your very low ammo weapons.
The C3 slave is the coolest part of this standard engined mech. The only two reasons its worth existing. Heavy armoured, Standard engine designs will do okay even with lousy weapons like this one, at least till its out of ammo.

I am sorry this mech is just a mistake, it needs to have some lasers or even a PPC to keep it in the long fight. I have never seen a battle where a mech hasn't run out of ammo, and with no back up weapons I don't like it at all. |
