Really fast for a 80 ton missile boat now and still with some substantial armor for its mission profile.
It lost some of its vital missile firepower though and its defensive weaponry is a farce!
Its speed will be useful in a more active role but still i would prefer the -5S too. |

You know, for 80 tons, I expected a bit more than just a bunch of LRM racks. Heck, the Naginata weighs a mere 5 tons more and has space for an ER PPC.
The speed is very good for a mech of its weight, though the presence of ammo in torsos with XL engines makes me cringe. CASE or not, one ammo explosion and this thing is headed for the scrapyard.
The armor is okay. This thing will take a licking and keep on ticking, but cant stand up to outrageous ammounts of abuse.
The weapons....where to start.
Well, being able to toss 45 LRMs into the sky is pretty amazing. What would have been even better would be to have Artemis for each launcher. The LRMs are fairly well supplied with ammo, but not so much as to make ammo explosions Really Impressive.
The lasers make me wince. If someone has gotten close enough that you have to rely on the lasers for defense, you did something wrong. It also means theres a 3 or 4 hex 'gap' between the minimum range of the LRMs and the maximum range of the lasers. A fast mech, well, faster than this mech, could exploit that. Hanging just close enough to give you lousy numbers to hit, while staying out of range of the lasers.
This is deffinitely a fire support mech, bordering on artillery from the ammount of possible damage it can do. Dont even joke about going into close combat with this. It just aint gonna live. |

Not as good as the 5S but still a good support mech, still has wasted space with the CASE though, drop them and the two small lasers for small ERs.
Tip: If you need to use the lasers, your way to close! |

This machine is good as far as Inner-sphere support mechs go. I would use this machine to lend fire support to my quads. |
