Overview:
    Promethean Armouries' STG-3Gδ is believed to be the rarest of the PA Stinger variants (if
    not PA's rarest mech). Thought of by afficionados as an accidentally homologated prototype,
    the -3Gδ came about as result of a long and convoluted comedy of errors within the company.
    
    
    The extra, extra light (XXL) engine used in the -3Gδ was based on what was later found to
    be a stolen design. Reviews of RSE's development process for a competing XXL engine design
    were found to have been misrepresented within the company. Mistakenly thinking their version
    of the tech was more mature than it actually was, it was slated to be incorporated into the
    next generation of Stinger, PA's most popular line of mechs in their Built-to-Order
    catalogue. The team who misrepresented the progress on RSE's XXL engine didn't have a viable
    product and used a stolen design instead.
    
    This subterfuge flew under the radar inside and outside of the company for 3 years before
    being discovered. Rumours from within the company suggested that CEO of the time, Conrad
    Clausewitz, was actually more upset about the astoundingly poor heat management inherent to
    the engine's design than he was about the IP theft. The precise number of units built and
    sold was never disclosed, but the -3Gδ was recalled by the manufacturer and customers
    refunded (with a bonus for their troubles). Very few units were actually returned.
    
    Conrad cursed the -3Gδ as a black mark against Promethean Armouries' reputation and design
    principals. The lawsuit brought against PA by the Federated Suns' company who owned the
    design was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum. For the remainder of Conrad's tenure
    as CEO of the Ravensbourne Specialist Engineering Zaibatsu he seethed about failed
    technology being released for customer consumption.
    
    Promethean Armouries' does not service or replace parts on the -3Gδ, they only offer to buy
    them back (no matter what their state of repair). It is believed the Federated Suns' company
    from whom the XXL engine's design was stolen was willing to service the -3Gδ at cost
    because they already make parts for the fusion engine, and they know every -3Gδ still in
    service is a poke in the eye of the RSE Zaibatsu. It was a petty but effective form of
    revenge.

    The STG-3Gδ is fast.

Variants:
    The STG-3Gδ is an overstuffed, overcomplicated 20 ton Gordian knot of a machine. As
    cherished by collectors as it is reviled by mechanics, it is a minor legend both good and
    ill. Thankfully, and unfortunately, this bogeyman of a mech is rare enough that mekteks need
    only fear working on it in their nightmares. It is also the only mech that has ever been
    removed from PA's Built-to-Order catalogue.
