To rip out a medium laser off the -3D for a C3 isn't a good idea in my eyes.
The Helios can make good use of the C3-network for sure but with only one energy weapon and SRM's with lack of ammo its defensive capability degrades too much.
Better leave the laser in place and drop the 6-racks for 4-racks instead. You'll have 2 non-ammo weapons and SRM's that last longer while freeing enough tonnage to mount the C3-slave and a ton of armor (or maybe an additional ton of gauss ammo). |

Tough call on this one.
The guass rifle does good work at range, but only 16 hosts means you have to choose wisely when to shoot.
SRMs are nice for close work, but share the same problem as the gauss rifle, too few shots for a protracted engagement.
The medium laser seems to be more of an 'should all your ammo run out' weapon than any kind of viable threat.
The C3 link, though, lets the mech either call in or provide fire support, however.
As a spotter, or near solid supply lines, this mech should do fairly alright. Dont stray too far from friendly lines, though, or this thing is going to be more of a liability than an asset. |
