Overview:
    Promethean Armouries' second generation of the Guillotine began development towards the end
    of the Jihad when the Irongate Grenadiers salvaged a -6WB in excellent condition. Like
    anything new and novel they found it ended up back at the Ravensbourne research facility for
    analysis and reverse engineering. Ironically, very little of the Word of Blake's design
    survived into PA's -6 series.
    
    Promethean Armouries marketed the -6 series as an affordable, budget-oriented line mech (by
    PA standards) with state of the art features and superior pilot comfort (as an update of
    their still popular -3 series). Production began in 3083 at PA's Loxley facilities. The
    mechs were well-received but sales were undermined by a production bottle-neck due to
    difficulties in sourcing and manufacturing critical electronics. As a result, PA's -6
    variants spent most of their early production life as another small batch curiosity from the
    eccentric manufacturer until 3090 when PA spun up an electronics manufacturing facility on
    Ravensbourne (Hrafnagaldr Intelligent Systems) to produce their own C3 computers. By this
    time interest had cooled significantly but sales were consistent, if modest. The investments
    in updating the mass production tooling and designs of the Guillotine variants were
    considered not as successful as desired, but PA establishing their own electronics
    production would go on to prove fortuitous in future product lines. Like RSE's other parts
    manufacturing endeavours, sale of their advanced electronics ended up being more lucrative
    than the sale of whole mechs.
    
    Promethean Armouries' usual design sensibilities of managing heat through eschewing ER
    weapons is readily apparent in returning the design to standard medium lasers. In a reversal
    of the Word of Blake's claustrophobic cockpit, PA engineers did everything they could for
    pilot comfort and amenities.
    
    Like most of PA's catalogue the -6 series is obscure but much loved by collectors and
    aficionados.

Capabilities:
    The GLT-6PS has some measure of damage capability at a distance with the heavy PPC (plus
    capacitor) but the rest of the loadout necessitates getting in close. While it's movement
    speed leaves something to be desired, once it's up close the abundance of armour and heat
    management ensures the -6PS can fire on all cylinders almost indefinitely.
    
    The compact gyro and LRM 15 of the WoB variant were discarded in favour of a Streak SRM 6
    and normal gyro. The PA -6PS downgraded the improved C3 in favour of a C3 slave.
    
    PA engineers advised that the capacitor is for supplementing damage output at ranges where
    the heavy PPC is the only option. Using it in combination with the rest of the -6PS's
    loadout can result in excessive heat buildup.

Variants:
    Customisation from the factory allowed for an additional heat sink instead of the PPC
    capacitor for customers who sought to make heat management easier and/or bring the cost down
    a little.
    
    This wasn't classified as a separate variant by PA. On paper one would need to be familiar
    with serial number batches. An astute observer can tell the difference by slight variations
    in the left arm's shape as to whether a capacitor or double heat sink is within. Over time
    the extra heat sink proved slightly more popular due to being slightly more affordable.
    
    PA's existing lines of Guillotines were supposed to be succeeded by the -6 series.
    Internally, the update came about from adopting a number of design methods and technologies
    reverse engineered from Word of Blake machines that had been recovered in the field. The
    difference was not as dramatic as advertised as Promethean Armouries was already a cutting
    edge manufacturer so there wasn't as much to glean from WoB tech as most would anticipate.
    As a point of comparison, at that time research was still ongoing into trying to replicate
    Clan technologies of which PA and RSE had far more research material to analyse.
    
    The existing networked -3 series models saw continued sales in the long term despite the age
    of the designs as the they still offered specific functionality that complemented PA's other
    networked mechs. While still available for production, PA stopped advertising the -3P and
    -3P2 in preference of emphasising their C3-enabled products.
