Overview:
The Guillotine -4P3 was Promethean Armouries trying to address a perceived weakness of the
GLT- platform once Ravensbourne Specialist Engineering had spun up high-volume double heat
    sink manufacturing.

Significant changes to the internal structure to allow the new, more efficient heat sinks
presented opportunities to tweak the overall loadout and improve performance at range.

Capabilities:
Once again, the new generation of GLT- boasted better cooling and more armour than its
predecessor. That improved cooling would be put to the test, though. With changes to the
mech's internal layout due to upgrading to double heat sinks it became viable to upgrade the
    torso lasers to large models.

Adding large lasers allowed the -4P3 to hit harder at longer ranges, but also presented a
problem for heat management. A pilot would have to exercise some moderation and be selective
about which weapons were used at particular distances lest heat buildup get carried away.
This was not something new, though. Despite RSE's/PA's design doctrines around heat
management, most of their GLT- series machines would demand more awareness from their pilots
    in regards to heat.

Variants:
The -4P3 is part of a respectable number of Guillotine variants produced by RSE and PA over
the decades. Like with their other mass production lines, Promethean Armouries did their
best to keep costs reasonable in the hopes of picking up large military contracts rather
than the usual niche markets they often catered to.

When Yannig Leifsson, a member of PA's marketing team, noticed a trend among PA's niche
customers (wealthy mercenaries and militias, well-appointed military officers) purchasing
small but consistent numbers of mass produced mechs he seized upon an opportunity and drew
up designs for different "trims" of these models. Functionally, the trims had no impact on
combat function and simply "added value" for the collectors who wanted something that set
their machine apart, made it more special. These limited editions would have cockpit accents
and controls made from rare, expensive materials among other expensive and entirely
    superfluous features.

Initially management and the board pushed back on such a shallow venture but when Yannig
explained his pricing strategy and projected being able to charge up to double for a mass
production model after adding some frills and lace then the majority of the suits were
brought in line. The first Promethean Armouries mech that was released to market with
exclusive, limited trims was the GLT-4P3.

Many Lyran mech aficionados considered this a very disappointing move from the company, "a
naked cash-grab taxing the naive," but given how wealthy those purchasing new mechs on a
whim tend to be there was very little sympathy for the "victims". The irony became that the
"collector" trims sold as part of Leifsson's initiative were only ever valued slightly more
    than standard trim.
