Overview:
    The Crazy Sun debuted shortly before the Succession Wars, but its factories were among the
    first to be destroyed, dooming it to a rapid decline. Thanks to its primarily laser-based
    armaments, the Crazy Sun was fragile and difficult to repair when compared to designs that
    used more rugged missile and ballistic weapons. Additionally, the Crazy Sun's custom engine
    couplings, designed to efficiently feed energy to its many lasers, was an asset to the
    mech's original configuration, but limited its ability to accept downgrades to more rugged
    weapons. The last Crazy Sun was wrecked at the close of the Second Succession War.
    
    The Crazy Sun was one of Luthien Resurrectionists Inc.'s most successful designs. It was
    nearly picked up by LRI's parent company, the better known Luthien Armor Works, but was
    ultimately rejected due to its rotund, "unheroic" profile. Luthien Armor Works ultimately
    approved the sale of the Crazy Sun on the mercenary market, where it has been popular.
    
    Despite LRI's best efforts, the Crazy Sun was too popular for the LRI's efforts to rebrand
    it as the "Amaterasu" (making their production model the AMA-3Z) to meet with much success.
    In part, this may be because Combine merchants were unenthusiastic about linking one of the
    Shinto faith's most important spirits with such a mech that was quite so silly looking,
    however effective it might be. LRI ultimately gave up and to this day, the Crazy Sun is sold
    under its original name.

Capabilities:
    The extended range medium laser is a staple of Inner Sphere mech design, and the Crazy Sun
    has three of them, backed up by an SRM-4 to find holes the lasers drill into their target's
    armor. At close range, the Crazy Sun can add the firepower of its impressive array of twelve
    small pulse lasers. This switch leaves the Crazy Sun's hands free for melee attacks, which
    they are specially reinforced for. Two additional extended-ranged small lasers guard the
    mech's back. The greatest weakness of the original Crazy Sun - its somewhat low top speed -
    has been rectified with the addition of a supercharger, allowing the mech to get into its
    preferred range rapidly.
    
    Although the Crazy Sun can be effective, its reliance on medium and short ranged weapons
    makes it easy to avoid or outrange. It is most successful when used to defend a
    strategically important point, positioned so it can take cover until the enemy closes, or in
    areas of dense terrain, such as urban environments.
    
    The Crazy Sun has the following Design Quirks: Battlefists [LA], Battlefists [RA], and Weak
    Legs.

Variants:
    In addition to their first production model, the CRZ-3Z, LRI also released the CRZ-4Z, which
    downgrades all the small pulse lasers to extended range small lasers in order to upgrade one
    of the medium lasers to an extended range large laser. Although still a far cry from a
    sniper, the CRZ-4Z is able to exchange fire at more conventional ranges.
