Sure in Clan on Clan fights this mech is hooped. But against the Inner Sphere, your likely to blow through everything that isn't an Assault mech fairly easily. The range on clan medium pulses is sickening and abusive:-D
The relatively thick armour for a clan design is a boon as well, same with the standard engine. |

A reasonably cheap mech, it makes a really good garrison mech and is one of my favorites to deploy against players as GM. The ferocity of the UAC on such a small mech is something of a rarity in garrison forces. And the pulse lasers augment it nicely. The real letdown is its speed. Most mediums and some heavies could keep out of the UAC's range, dooming it. |

Even though this thing is a second-line mech, I wouldnt be surprised to see it in a few front line stars.
This mech has a nice solid punch in the UAC, and a good knife fight array in the pulse lasers.
The jump ability will come in handy when youre in a city scrap, but the mech seems to be a bit slow for ranged fights.
Changing to FF armor, if youre so inclined, is a good idea, as it would beef up the armor protection on the entire chassis, dropping a ton of ammo would let the mech mount more armor, letting the mech graduate from National Guard Unit to Front Line Unit. |

Although by no means up to snuff with most other Clan designs, this 'mech will give good service as a second-line trooper or garrison 'mech. It rather reminds me of the classic Centurion, and could even pass as a IIC version of that 'mech. The slow speed essentially limits it to defensive duty, especially against other clan opponents, but against Inner Sphere forces it possesses respectable speed. The Jump Jets are a major help in cities. |
