Overview:
    A heavily modified variant of the... unpopular "Avenging Angel" Vindicator, improved with
    many rare Star League equipment. It is faster than even the stock VND-1AA, as robust as a
    stock VND-1R, and has other surprises besides.

Capabilities:
    Anomaly is what happens when a VND-1AA "Avenging Angel" Vindicator gets the "Royal"
    treatment. Infused with many Star League parts (mostly from Artru's Castle Nautilus),
    Anomaly is a vastly different and improved machine.
    
    First, it is faster than even a stock 1AA. WHEST removed a 270 engine from a
    too-damaged-to-repair PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk, and made it an XL using parts from Castle
    Nautilus. Not only does this give Anomaly a top speed of over 90 kph, but leaves so much
    room for armor and equipment. While an XL engine makes Anomaly more vulnerable, its pilot,
    Glitch, is sufficiently skilled in high-maneuver combat to keep it safe. Anomaly also can
    jump to its maximum distance of 180 meters.
    
    Second, the weight savings, plus the removal of the LR5 rack, its ammo, and the small laser
    in the left arm, allows Anomaly to bring its armor on par with a stock VND-1R. More space is
    made by removing three of the heat sinks and upgrading Anomaly's remaining 13 to doubles,
    allowing Glitch to consistently jump and attack at a high rate.
    
    Third, the mech's loadout reflects the preference of Glitch for aggressive, in-your-face
    fighting. Two Medium Lasers in the left arm join the original in the head to provide Anomaly
    with good close-in firepower.
    
    The decision to retain the 1AA's stock PPC is consistent both with Glitch's preferred
    fighting style and her role as the head of the Bodyguard Lance of the Wild Hunt's Commander.
    As Glitch said, her job is to get in the face of ANYONE trying to get to the Commander. She
    can't do that firing at stand off range with an ER PPC. Besides, the stock cannon allows her
    techs to easily maintain and replace the item with those from any Vindicator. The same is
    true for the lasers, the two extras being of the same Ceres models mounted in a Vindicator's
    head.
    
    The all-energy loadout means the mech can run hot, but it keeps Anomaly safe from ammo
    explosions, allowing Glitch to redline the mech if needed.
    
    Finally, Anomaly carries a Guardian ECM Suite. Glitch requested it rather than add weapons,
    armor, or even heat sinks. The ECM allows her to disrupt even advanced electronics,
    targeting, and C3 gear. Given she loves to mix it up with the OpFor, Glitch becomes her
    callsign, causing... glitches in the enemy formation as she moves faster than the average
    Vindicator

Deployment:
    Anomaly is the exclusive ride of Jessica "Glitch" Chernovskaya, who heads the Bodyguard
    Lance of the Commander of the Wild Hunt (the mercenary company formerly known as Markham's
    Marauders in BTech AP).
    
    As of the eve of the Fourth Succession War, no other VND-1AAs of the Wild Hunt (they keep a
    collection of the model at their base in Coromodir V) are built the same way.
    
    The mech was modified from the VND-1AA the company... procured from a collector that Chief
    Tech Yang Virtanen targeted.

Variants:
    No variants exist of Anomaly.
