Overview:
Rebuilt by the old Frontier technician Dougan from a scrapped Panther, Bunny was made
specifically for his ward, Dillie, when she became serious about earning money for them as a
mech gladiator. This is the version of Bunny Dillie used in her arena stint and the mech
they brought to the First Expansion Trials of the Wild Hunt in late 3027.

Capabilities:
After Dillie decked her first opponent with the local Arena's stock Stinger, Dougan realized
his ward was both at least a good Mechwarrior (all that sim time at the shop since she was a
kid paid off, it seems) and that she needed a decent ride. The heavily-modified PNT-9R
Dillie named "Bunny" - because it hops, and she loves an ancient Terran comedy movie that
involved some knights and a killer rabbit - was that ride.

Rebuilt from a scrapped Panther in their homeworld's ancient battlefields, it's a miracle
that Dougan was able to not only restore the old, battered machine but also improve on it.

To replace its cored heart, Dougan had to look for an engine. He couldn't find one that
could give the 35-tonner the same speed as a Stinger (and still have decent firepower), but
he did find an old, leaky 175 GM fusion engine in a non-functional Hunter tank. After fixing
its damaged shielding, Dougan installed it into Bunny, giving the Panther a top speed of
over 80 kph. He also installed an additional jump jet from Panther surplus so it can hop at
its maximum distance of 150 meters.

To keep the Panther's armor and main weapon, Dougan sacrificed the mech's SR4 rack and its
ammo. Dillie wasn't a fan of missiles anyway, and the Lord's Light PPC, once restored,
matched her preference for direct line combat. Dougan installed a small laser in the mech's
head to provide Dillie with a backup weapon. The girl also loves to melee opponents, so the
    SL helps there, too.

The thirteen heat sinks standard to a Panther had its work cut out for it when Dillie goes
jumping and firing, but the young MechWarrior has learned to manage the heat problems of her
mech, switching to running full tilt while her heat gauge returns to normal.

Bunny also has some cosmetic modifications: rabbit ears on the head, and a bunny-like "tail"
at where the mech's bum should be.

Deployment:
Bunny was originally part of Reiva Calloway's Lance in the 3rd Combined Arms Battalion (CAB)
of the Wild Hunt after its First Expansion in late 3027.

The mech, and its rider, remained with Calloway when their unit was first made into the
"Autonomous Long Range Recon and Strike Company" and then a Nova after the Canoveri, the
Clan Wolverine remnants of the Magistracy, joined the Wild Hunt.

Variants:
Bunny receives SLDF upgrades as "gifts" from Wild Hunt Skull Squadron commander Viona
"Succubus" Heinrichi right after their impromptu duel: an ER PPC and, with authorization
from Wild Hunt commander Carlios Dan Cannar, a full set of 13 double heat sinks and a set of
    replacement parts.

The mech will receive further upgrades from the Canoveri during the "Letter of Marque"
campaign against the Clan Watch unit that was hunting for information on rumors of
Wolverines in Canopian space. Reiva endorsed the modifications - an Enhanced ER PPC - as the
young MechWarrior is the best of her "Strider Force" before the Canoveri Amaya joined them.

Notable MechWarriors:
Dillie, who was an orphan that old man Dougan took in after she caught her trying to steal
from his mech shop... because she got entranced "playing" with the sim pod.

After a short career as an arena gladiator, Dougan brought himself and his ward to the First
Expansion Trials of the Wild Hunt when the mercenary company (formerly known as Markham's
Marauders) was in service to the Magistracy of Canopus following Auriga's Restoration War.

Bunny was the mech Dillie used to not only win a slot with the Wild Hunt, but also caught
the attention of the company's leaders. Especially SKull Squadron leader Viona "Succubus"
Heinrichi, who laid "dibs" on the young MechWarrior for future recruitment to the Hunt's
    foremost assassin unit.

Dougan was also recruited right then and there into WHEST. Wild Hunt Chief Technician Yang
Virtanen and Chief Scientist Dr. Farah Murad recognized the skill and knowledge needed to
restore a scrapped Panther AND modify it to the extent Dougan did. Bunny was all the
audition the old man needed to get in.
