Overview:
    After some of the experiences and feedback Meridian personel gave with the BL-6-KNT, then
    the further modified variants, a new design was drawn up appropriating the complex TTS of
    the BL-12-KNT. Engineers noted that the two arm-mounted medium lasers disproportionately
    increased the computational load on the BL-12's advanced targetting computer. Additionally,
    with the Meridian's affinity for using PPCs, the torso-mounted large lasers were traded for
    light ppc's with capacitors, which closer match the aiming dynamics of the ER PPC,
    simplifying calculations further. This freed up about 30% of the targetting computer's
    processing power, for which the Meridian then repurposed for a TAG laser designator and a
    Beagle Probe, and integrated a C3i module into the Black Knight's computer systems. This
    allows the Mistral-2 to be able to more effectively call targets for lancemates, with some
    sacrifice in raw firepower to be more reminiscent of a stock BL-6.
