Honky laser sniper. Sure u can't fire all 6 at ago but you can still fire up to 4 so no biggie. 5 if u prefer to push it alittle.
The mech might be lightly armored but it has standard engine so it will last longer than most XL designs. |

I fail to see how a Warhawk C has a beter range or more firepower than this design, although it certainly handles heat better. The Warhawk Prime may have sightly more firepower, but has the same problemes with heat.
This is the perfect mech for hilly terrain- by setting up at the top of a hill, it can snipe oncoming mechs, and easily outmanuver any assaults without JJ's. Even at close range it is a match for most heavies in a slugfest- while at long range it's more than a match for the Dire Wolf Prime. The light armor and high heat are its only drawbacks- and it can lose an entire torso with minimal decline in combat effectiveness.
Just like the Nova Prime, it relys on energy firepower, rather than high-tech trimmings, and can easily outlast more 'advanced' mechs. |

Sure its powerful. Sure its good. but for 10 tons less the War Hawk exists with a longer range and more damage. Mixing in LPL and ER LL works better than this straight one method style.
Its okay for 2nd line units, but even there you could do better with IIC Warhammers.
Use it if you wish to, but really come on with the choices you have pick something better. Even if this will work. |

Quite possibly the ultimate sniper.
A nice, big range envelope and maneuverability enough to keep heavier mechs at arms length. The guns pack enough punch to deter lighter mechs for fear of being killed outrignt.
The only down side is the unGodly heat that one alpha strike will produce. A heat spike of 72 heat points is something that cant be ignored. The DHS will eliminate well over half of that, but your mech is going to be risking shut down, as well as being reduced in mobility and accuracy.
Ideal for sniper work, but you have to use the utmost care, or this thing will be turned into 90 tons of 'Kick Me' when it shuts down from heat. |

Personally i believe this is the perfect sniper, JJ's exellent heat ability, brilliant long range weaponry. Ok armour is lacking but does a sniper really need it. Speed is average for its wieght but could do with being a bit faster to get out of a tight situation. A pair of these (per star) covering the flanks could cause serious damage. Just make sure the other mechs take the flak from the enemies heavy hitters. |
