To drop the TAG for CASE is a really good idea for this 20 mio peace of military high-tech but it still has that 100 salvoes of streak ammo and the firepower is as low as before.
If i had no choice but to take a Spartan i would prefer this variant over the -N2. |

Piss poor loadout and performance.
The weapons are flashy but still useful, however they lack the solid one two hit punch that i expect an assault will deliver against a single target.
At least the armor is good though, that XL plant will need all the padding it needs. |

This reminds me of the original Banshee in a couple of ways.
Moderately quick for its weight, it relies on a fairly vulnerable XL engine. Thankfully, the torso armor is kind of thick, meaning that it can take some abuse.
The weapons load looks more like something a rookie would design. Lots of flashy 'new' stuff, but not enough to really knock down a target. All flash, not much bang.
The PPC will allow you snipe at ranges, and the AMS will keep you somewhat protected from incoming missiles.
The pulse lasers and streaks are impressive for close in work, but seem more suited for a lighter design.
I cant really give this mech a good role in combat, because the weapons are a bit too lacking. It will work for just about anything, but wont be exceptionally good at anything. |

Expensive and merely average. Its seems to me that most battlemechs could manage this kind of load out at around 50 or so tons. The added armour is nice but if your going to XL go with Ferro.
Streaks have a lot of ammo, so use that ton for something else.
I'd not field it because I could probably find a 40-50 ton mech with this load out and a standard engine for far cheaper. |
