Overview:
Even while clan tech started to percolate in from the Nova Cats, the need for cheap rugged
second line forces never goes away. The Nikorasu Keji fits that bill.
Capabilities:
Operating in the same vein as the more famous Yellow Jacket, it is a heavy VTOL that is
slower then average while carrying an oversized weapon system. The Nikorasu Keji is much
more ruggedly constructed then the yellow Jacket However, carrying substantially more and
better armor, to the point where even an Ultra AC-20 can not be certain of a clean kill.
The Weapon system is an intimidating MRM-40, offering firepower well in excess of the Yellow
Jacket's Gauss Rifle while also providing a lower operating cost thanks to less expensive
ammo.
Notable MechWarriors:
Nikorasu Keji was a Tai-sa in the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery during the second
succession war responsible for an Air Cav regiment. His tactics and strategies developed in
the defense of his homeworld against Federated Sun aggression are still taught to this day.
To the Federated Suns, he was known as the wicker man possibly for his tendency to light
supply depots on fire. More then one Federated Sun Commander lamented "Not the Bees" when
his VTOL forces would carve out a flank of what should of been a decisive attack.
Incidentally, Nikorasu Keji is taught to Federated Sun Air Cav officers as well.
