Overview:
    The Faithbreaker is a custom rebuild of a CRD-6T Crusader by independent MechWarrior Badr
    “Faithless” Zair. Reconstructed in 3066 using salvaged Clan components, it was designed
    for sustained field operations and self-maintenance rather than factory support. Zair
    stripped out the 6T’s original laser banks, creating a balanced, close-range brawler
    optimized for mobility, precision, and endurance.

Capabilities:
    A 325 XL engine with a field-installed supercharger gives Faithbreaker higher speed bursts
    than standard Crusaders, while two jump jets provide limited vertical mobility.
    
    The left arm’s three Clan medium pulse lasers serve as the primary battery. The right arm
    mounts four Clan small pulse lasers—a change from Zair’s arena days, when a single
    reinforced “punching glove” arm from his father’s 3K served as his main weapon. The
    new configuration trades brute force for faster strikes and better heat control, ideal for
    Zair’s pass-and-punch tactics.
    
    A rotary AMS and chaff pod bolster defense, while Clan ECM and active probe grant excellent
    situational awareness. Hybrid standard and Clan ferro armor allows modular replacement in
    the field, supporting long-term deployments.

Deployment:
    Since 3066, Faithbreaker has operated with small mercenary commands along the Draconis
    border, often on missions targeting Clan opponents. Zair’s careful maintenance,
    disciplined logistics, and willingness to call tactical withdrawals when situations become
    untenable have kept the ’Mech in continuous service with no recorded combat losses and
    only minor armor replacement. The ’Mech has seen action in border raids, anti-raider
    operations, and urban duels against Clan forces, excelling in confined terrain where pulse
    laser accuracy and agility outperform heavier opponents.

Variants:
    Aside from its customized loadout, Faithbreaker is essentially a standard Crusader CRD-6T.
    No factory or refit variants exist, and Zair rarely alters the design beyond modular armor
    replacements.

    A former arena pilot turned mercenary, Zair is known for disciplined movement, conservative
    fire discipline, and a preference for fighting under contract against Clan forces. His
    father served in the DCMS before defecting to the Free Rasalhague Republic, a legacy that
    continues to shape Zair’s operational choices.
    
    Zair avoids command positions, preferring to serve as a contract specialist or independent
    element. His mechanical proficiency and careful planning allow him to maintain a hybrid
    machine like Faithbreaker in full working order without dedicated support staff.
    Nevertheless, he brings the ’Mech to proper facilities whenever possible, as solo repairs
    and field modifications can only go so far.
