A versatile weaponloadout combined with lots of heavy armor and some JJ´s. It is ammo dependant though but has enough ammo to go through almost any engagement.

Not that bad. For long range damage it has the LRM 20, not the best weapon, but there are more than a few 'Mechs with less than that. for medium range it can add the AC. At close range it's better, because it can handle all of it's short range weapons and the AC without any trouble, if the pilot keeps an eye on the heat. Armor is excellent and JJs offer it an additional advantage. Technically it's an upscaled Orion, not bad, it isn't the old Star League 'Mech, but for 3025 era it could be worse. |

I like this design because of its maneuverability and versatility it can lay down suppressing fire or close to finish the job its JJs mean it can be effectively used to provide a surprise punch were the enemy isn't expecting something so heavy the ammo reliance is a problem but if your well stocked this mech will cause a whole world of pain |

This mech is exactly how 3025 era techs would try to replace an unrepairable gauss rifle. Logically a PPC and more heat sinks would make for a better mech, but this is more of a field repair anyway. It has great armor, deep ammo bins, and the firepower is okay for 3025. The only real problem is the loss of CASE. |

Not a great revision of the highlander.
The AC/10 just doesn't make up for the loss of the Gauss Rifle. A PPC and more heat sinks and say 2 ML's would have made a better bet.
It's main saving grace is that jump capability and the incredible armour. |
