Overview:
    Realizing the potential of combining Inner Sphere and Clan plasma technology, Etna
    Industries began creating the pinnacle 'mech in heat-based warfare: the Starson.  It was
    meant to be a bruiser in medium range engagements, slowing other mechs by overheating their
    engines.  These slowed targets were easy for the lumbering assault mech to catch and finish
    off with its four batteries of short range missiles.  Despite its name being chosen to help
    it sell in Etna's native Federated Suns, it was only truely profitable as an export product.

Capabilities:
    The STR-5N's primary weapons are three plasma rifles, capable of dealing significant damage
    at medium range and helping break open enemy armor.  These also impart a significant amount
    of heat to a target, levels that can be pushed even farther by its two arm mounted plasma
    cannons.  These should allow pilots to max the heat imparted before the Leidenfrost effect
    causes diminishing returns, even with some missed shots.  Against lighter targets proving
    difficult to hit, it is also possible to load all SRM 6 with inferno rounds to guarantee
    that they are significantly slowed and easy targets for the larger weaponry.

Deployment:
    Starson's role is somewhere between a brawler and juggernaught, meant to excell in medium
    range engagements where it can slow its targets enough to then slowly catch up to.  It
    carries 18.5 tons of armor and a heavy-duty gyroscope to allow it to hold nearly any
    battleline.  However, it lacks rear coverage and will need support to prevent it from being
    flanked and quickly worn down.
