To remove that single heatsinks and AMS in favor of DHS´s, a medium laser and some armor isn´t bad but still it could have been much better with ES.
So this variant has to keep enemies away as long as possible too.
Even 9 tons of armor are not sufficient for close combat as are the weapons. |

Dropping the massive LRM20 for a LRM-15 + stripping out the AMS and its ammo. Throw on 11.5 tons of FF armor and u still have room for 2 medium lasers.
With less than 20 reloads on its main weapons which will empty out quickly in extended battles, it will need the medium lasers and its speed badly. |

The armor is a little bit better here, but it still is in deep trouble once somebody starts shooting back at it. It'll be a terror against medium 'mechs, but against heavies, forgit aboud it! |

For 70 tons you can get lots of cool toys, but appearantly the designer for this mech wants his LRM 20 and his Guass rifle and forgot other weapons exist for his baby.
The lack of armour hurts too but can be somewhat fixed by stripping out the AMS unit for armour. |

For a 70 ton mech, this thing is seriously undergunned.
Granted the LRM and guass rifle can deal out a beating, but the mech lacks close in support. A medium laser or even a couple of MGs would be a help.
THe armor is also fairly light for its weight. I expect heavy mechs to take a beating, but this thing cant quite do that. One shot from a clan ER PPC or gauss rifle, and this thing needs to leave the battlefield while it still can. Trading up to FF armor would help immensely.
As is, its a back-line fire support paltform. Its weapons and armor just cant stand up to anything. |
