Overview:
    Created by Mountain Wolf Battlemechs as an official refit package and export model, the
    Merlin MLN-2E is an effort to bring in their flagship 'mech into the 3150s and beyond
    without relying on expensive to produce Clan-tech specced equipment.
    
    More specifically, it is a package meant to update the design to the modern day fighting
    specifications of many other similar tonnage machines without inflating the cost unjustly or
    allowing the 'mech to need a full factory refit to function, allowing old stocks of MLN-1A
    through 1C models to be easily refit for whoever has them in stock, as well as to open up a
    lucrative export to various powers and factions around the Inner Sphere.

Capabilities:
    While much of the base systems remained the exact same for ease of maintenance on the newer
    produced models and to allow the refurbished models sure to come from the refit package an
    easier time getting set up, in this case the engine, TTS, communications systems, chassis,
    jumpjets all remain their MWB standard, the heat sinking system is replaced with a mere ten
    IS grade double heatsinks, as well as the armor getting updated to 10.5 Tons of Durralax
    Heavy Ferro-Fiborus armor to allow for maximal protection on top of saved weight.
    
    Meanwhile, its entire weapons package has been changed and updated to be a harder hitting
    and better equipped system to deal with the many new threats that have come to be known
    since its original creation. Armed with entirely Defiance Brand weapons, the PPC has been
    updated to a Heavy model, the LRM 5 replaced with an MML 5 with two tons of CASE II
    protection ammunition, the Machine Gun, ammunition, and Flamer have been replaced with twin
    Small X-Pulse Lasers, and its arm mounted Medium Lasers have been replaced with two Medium
    Pulse Lasers.
    
    It is noted that with these new weapon system that should the machine alpha strike after a
    jump, should the ranges line up or should the pilot wish to fire SRMs, the machine will get
    dangerously hot. But only should the pilot wish to fire the Heavy PPC, which may not always
    be the case. Regardless, the machine's refit package comes out to a mere increase of 950,000
    SeaBills market price, while the full 'mech itself it an easy 6 Million SeaBills at Market
    Price. Greatly affordable for any wishing to upgrade their old chassis on the cheap.
