Sure: it has some firepower lost but it gained range to avoid being blasted by an enemy out of its medium laser range.
Now it is even able to do an alpha strike at full jump without negative effects.
It is not so much specialized like its predecessor and so can be used under more circumstances. |

I don't think this is such a poor trade-off. It certainly makes the 'mech a lot more well-rounded, and a lot harder for a small light machine with long range firepower to pick apart at long range.
Just to go against the grain, I gave it .5 more kudos than the other version :P |

This mech drops some of the medium lasers for the ER large. This gives the mech a little more bite at distance, though not much. The armor still wont let the mech go toe to toe with big mechs. And though youve lost half the medium lasers, this mech can still crank out a bunch of heat. |

Somewhat Less effective than the Primary configuration of this Elemental Killer, it gives the Komodo more range at the sacrafice of up close dammage potential. |
