Overview:
    Building on the framework established by the 1X, Xander wanted to produce a more accurate,
    non-resupply dependent machine that could hold up in extended fighting with no loss of
    combat effectiveness. So the 2X has he same ground speed and jump capacity as the 1X.

Capabilities:
    Being equipped entirely with energy weapons, heat is a major factor, and despite the 15
    double capacity chillers installed, if a pilot Alpha Strikes with the 2X, the machine will
    not only overheat and shutdown, but likely, will explode! To prevent this, Xander placed the
    weapons into three different interlock circuits, and a pilot must manually override the
    safety to fire more than one weapons cluster.
    
    Mounted in the left torso are a pair of ER PPCs, giving the 2X some reach. This was
    necessitated by the massive 9 ton targeting computer in the right torso. As the enemy
    closes, a pair of arm mounted Large X-pulse lasers takes over, providing stunningly accurate
    fire. If anything survives to get in knife fighting range, 4 medium X-pulse lasers, two in
    each arm, are the third weapons interlock. Even while running or jumping, the mech's pilot
    can toggle any of the three range-specific weapons clusters and remain cool.

Deployment:
    Along with the 1X, the 2X was taken to Luthien by the Draconis Combine's military for
    testing and evaluation. Early reports suggested that the 2X is by far the more popular
    model, despite the lesser damage at long range. But only time, and battlefield experience,
    will tell.
