With a versatile weaponloadout like this you get a mech for almost any situation. The combined longrange firepower (In 3025 15 hexes will be longrange) is dangerous and it has lots of heatsinks. But it is limited by the small amount of LRM ammo and its rather light armor. |

The Zeus can begin the battle with a little sniping and than get closer to pour some additional damage on the enemy. It's weapons are well suited for long and medium range fighting, but the 'Mech suffers if compared to stock MAD-3R marauder. Low LRM ammo load also seems to be better used while the enemy is in range of your large laser. The Zeus will probably do the best by getting to range, using it's speed to keep the enemy away while emptying it's ammo bins and then running for reloads, unless the enemy was softened up enough. Without the LRMs the firepower is not that great and armor will not hold for long. There is no need for seventeen heat sinks. Alpha-strikes with all weapons require the Zeus to get close, something the 'Mech should try to avoid, so getting more LRM ammo and armor would actually be a great addition. It isn't powerful enough to blast the opponent out of existence, it doesn't have ammo to snipe for any length of time, it's armor is a little light for a brawler. Overall it isn't bad, but it will do better as a part of heavy or medium lance rather than as a member of assault group. |

I have never seen this Mech is a duel, not surprising. In a lance it is part of a unit, does not really stand out. A decent long range fighter but the lighter armor and lack of ammo preclude it from being a super threat, but man is it so COOOOOL looking.
GM- I use this only when the correct units are in play. Has a tendency to live, it is not feared, has movement, and enough armor to survive 2 good volleys, so it gets away. |

Solid all-rounder.
It's easy to see why the Lyrans use this as their main assault Mech.
The LRM-15 doens't have much ammunition, but its good enough to cover you so that you use your large laser and Autocannon. Closer still and the two mediums will add their voice to the mix. |

Does a lot for its weight the Zeus does. It has the ranged firepower to put a hurting on things and its armour although not spectacular will dominate the heavies it usually engages.
The Zeus has the spead to keep heavy mechs around and this lets it destroy many enemies. I worry about its ammo dependancy though. Its kinda hard to work around that low amount of ammo in a campaign situation. |
