Overview:
    Given their expertise in urban combat, Outback Industries was delighted to revlceive a
    Vulcan mech as part of their payout. Much maligned by Lyran social generals for its lack of
    fire-power, they were only too happy to dispose of it to free up space in their units for
    other mechs they deemed more worthy.
    
    As the mercs have come to expect from the social officers, the mech was turned over with all
    the weapons stripped out but at least this time around the mercs were able to keep the
    engine.

Capabilities:
    Outback industries has long running issues with jump jets, and most often these days will
    simply remove them.
    
    The VL-3I has been modified to their standards. Immediately 2 tons of armour were added,
    bringing the total up to 7 tons.
    The Ac2 mount was reworked to carry a large laser, the mercs favourite main weapon, gaining
    significant punch at the cost of range. One extra heat sink was added to account for the
    extra heat but the mech still runs hot.
    
    Keeping to the Vulcan's anti infantry role, the 3I is equipped with two machine guns and a
    flamer. The flamer was moved from the arm into the left torso where the medium laser used to
    be, whilst the machine guns are mounted in the arms.
    
    Techs combed the salvage yards for suitable hand actuators, then spent months in the
    workshop reprogramming and testing in order to make them functional.
    
    Finally, with the weight saved from removing the jump jets allowed for the installation of
    an SRM 4 in the centre torso, further adding to the damage potential.

Deployment:
    The 3I is a much more lethal machine than its predecessor. Opponents have rushed it
    expecting to take advantages of the usual weaknesses of the Vulcan only to find themselves
    quickly torn to pieces.
    
    Infantry units have long dreaded the sight of a Vulcan bearing down on them, for those who
    have survived an encounter with the 3I that dread has taken on an entirely new level.
