Overview:
    The Commando pilots are divided into two camps over whether to field missiles or large laser
    variants.
    
    Outback industries pilots are firmly in the large laser camp and have fitted their mechs
    accordingly.

Capabilities:
    Having attained a pair of Lyran Commando chassis, completely stripped of all equipment due
    to the generosity of steiner social generals, the company refitted the mechs as they saw
    fit.
    
    With no immediate access to 150 grade engines normally found in the Commando, the unit was
    instead able to acquire a pair of 175 grade engines. The refitted Commando can now propel
    itself up to 110 km/h, and is capable of surprising many opponents.
    
    As per pilot preference, the main weapon is a large laser. Techs mounted it in the centre
    torso for maximum protection.
    
    Having a little more weight left to play with, the mercs turned to their stockpile of old
    rocket launcher weapons. The unit has fitted a pair onto each Commando, one in each arm.
    This gives the mech a solid punch to finish off a crippled enemy unit or strongly deter
    pursuers.

Deployment:
    The mercenaries have deployed their commandos to great use. The increased speed has
    disrupted the battle plans of many opponents. Enemy scouts have found themselves out ranged,
    out gunned and often outrun.

Variants:
    One other option considered by techs was replacing both rocket launchers with an additional
    ton of armour, taking the mech up to maximum protection.
    For now though, pilots appreciate the extra punch of the rocket launchers.
