It´s a standard workhorse mech but a good one. It can handle almost any situation and the only thing to complain about is the combination of relatively slow speed and the lack of JJ´s. But if used in a battleline within a lance or company it will do a fine job.

Definitely a jack of all trades type of mech. Ignoring a Centurion is not a good idea thanks to the AC. LRMs are a nice backup, but they are usually too inaccurate to force any piloting skill rolls. Lasers cover weaker spots in Cent's firing arc well. Thanks to the laser mounted rear, faster mechs can't flank it that easily (no weapons in LA = big uncovered arc in rear left) and front laser makes up for the LRM min. range. The armor would use some upgrade, especially around the side torsos, but it should keep the mech safe for a while. Slow, but reliable. This would be the best words to describe the mech. This mech can fill many roles, so it will be used often.

Ah the Centurion....the quintissential medium battlemech. It packs a great pair of an LRM 10 and an AC 10, so this thing has punch at long and short range. It will run out of ammo, but not before dishing out a lot of hurt. It needs a little speed, but overall one of the best medium designs.

This workhorse has arguably fought far more battles than any other mech designs which is a testimony to its effectiveness and reliabilty.
Its AC and LRMs are well supplied so the Centy pilot can fire his shots with relative impunity. Just watch the heat alittle if in a hot and heavy firefight.

The Centurion could be the medium-weight workhorse of the Inner Sphere if there weren't so many other workhorses that variant-out much better (such as the Hunchback). The CN9-A, however, embodies the classic Battlemech - one big weapon (AC/10), one decent supporting weapon (LRM10), and some fallback weapons (Med. Lasers) for when all else fails.
Not the most nimble 'Mech to ever see the front line, but it's a front-line unit through and through. In a prolonged engagement the ammunition is bound to wear out, but if your CN9-A has thrown 20 AC/10 shells and 240 LRMs at something and still hasn't beat the enemy, your pilot's either incompetent or outmatched. Either way, it's not the Mech's fault.
