The Duan Gung and the Koshi have the same ancestor: The Star League aera Sling.
This Mech is neither fish nor fowl.
It has a good movement profile and a quite heavy weaponry for its weight but also combines a XL-engine with rather weak armor.
So its more of an expensive and fragile support unit. |

Dropping the LRM-10 for an ERlarge and more armor will make this a more acceptable design as well as maintaining its ranged profile.
IS LRMs are simply too inefficient for light mechs. |

This really reminds me of the Koshi Prime- which isn't really a good thing. Similar pathetic armor and wacky movement profile, but the loss of the probe and machine gun actually make this one worse. In certain situations it might do well using indirect fire, and it's quite deadly against 3025 era lights. Not useless, but not great. |

Solid scout. Decent speed, although not exceptional. Decent armor. Decent firepower. The LRM-10 is nice to deploy against slower enemies, but with faster enemies, you're more likely to have to rely on your mediums. Canj be used effectively to quickly plug holes until your slower, but more substancial element can arrive. |

There's lots of lights in the post-3050 era that will run this thing down and pummel it to death at close range, so it is only rarely going to be able to use those LRMs to full effect. An ER Large Laser would have given this a much better kick. |
