Overview:
Envisioned as a way to return the aging Quickdraw design to battlefield relevance, the High
Noon seeks to deliver on its spiritual predecessor's strengths.

Offering high speed, powerful kicks and all around coverage for its precision lasers, along
with indirect fire capability in the form of an LRM10, the High Noon completes the package
with superior speed and armor protection to the Quickdraw.

These advantages came at a cost, however. The jump jets were removed, and the coolant system
struggles at times with the major heat load of the paired ER large lasers.

Nevertheless, the High Noon has proven a capable fire support mech for heavier skirmish and
    recon lances.

Capabilities:
The primary firepower of the High Noon stems from the two arm mounted ER large lasers, both
guided by an advanced targeting computer. For extra punch or to fire while letting the
lasers cool down, the High Noon also sports an LRM10 launcher.

Close in protection is provided by a pair of ER medium lasers, also boosted by the targeting
computer, and the heavy mech's potent physical attacks.

While the ten and a half tons of ferro fibrous armor provide very good protection, the XL
engine does leave the design somewhat vulnerable.

However, it's speed allows it to outrun almost any threat, as well as keeping up with medium
    and even light lances.

Deployment:
The High Noon primarily serves as a command mech for medium recon or skirmish lances, but is
also deployed as a scout for smaller heavy units where its combination of speed and
firepower allow it to move ahead of the main force without compromising the total firepower
    of the lance.

Variants:
The HGN-7MQ-MB emulates the Quickdraw more closely by replacing the targeting computer with
    a SRM4 launcher.

The HGN-7MR-MB is optimised for recon duties, replacing the targeting computer with a beagle
probe and a guardian ECM suite.

The HGN-8WB-MB dispenses with the LRM10, instead upgrading the ER large lasers to ER PPCs.
The single double heat sink added still leaves the coolant system of this variant overtaxed.

The HGN-10MC-MB appeared later and only in limited numbers. It upgrades the ER large lasers
to clan specifications and adds two extra double heatsinks.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Lieutenant Lucy Duke
An expert marksman of the 2nd Arcturan guards, Lt. Duke was able to employ her High Noon's
ER large lasers with sufficient precision to dismember enemy mechs at up to 450 meters.
She scored at least 17 kills before her fatal last stand during the early jihad, holding off
an enemy company single handedly to allow her regiment to complete its evacuation.
