Overview:
    Initially an early attempt to adapt the 'mech scale Blazer to a Wolverine, the WVR-6MB has
    cropped up several times since the FWL obtained the specifications for the Blazer Cannon
    originally pioneered by the Lyrans.  The weapon's heat is often cited as a drawback, but
    experienced WVR-6M pilots know riding the heat curve is more art than science.

Capabilities:
    The WVR-6MB is relatively simple as variants go, simply removing the WVR-6M's SRM-6 launcher
    and ammunition and using the tonnage to tack in a second large laser core to turn the right
    arm weapon into a Blazer Cannon.  The two medium lasers from the base WVR-6M design are
    retained, meaning a full alpha strike combined with a full range jump generates a heat level
    slightly below the set point of the 'mech's automatic shutdown safety measures.

Deployment:
    Never deployed in great numbers, the WVR-6MB received mixed reviews from test pilots.  Those
    that favored the Blazer Cannon were devoted supporters of the design, but the rest regarded
    it as simply too hot to use in combat.

Variants:
    Roughly 50% of the test pilots of the WVR-6MB suggested removing a medium laser in favor of
    an additional heat sink, but the other half consider them to be amateurs.  Experimental
    designs throughout the centuries have attempted to use cooling blankets to mitigate the heat
    of the Blazer Cannon, but only the wide availability of Double Heat Sinks were able to make
    the design truly acceptable to a majority of pilots.  Unfortunately, during those times
    other advanced weapons usually outshined the Blazer Cannon.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Henry "Boom Boom" Vicelli was a mercenary during the late 3rd Succession War who converted
    his WVR-6M to a WVR-6MB following an unfortunate ammunition explosion.  The voluble
    MechWarrior's comrades in arms were spared his endless chatter for the months his broken jaw
    took to mend, but had to put up with his endless praise of the Blazer Cannon once it had
    healed.
